Remey Testifies in Self Defense Plea at Helena Trial
Camille Frederic Remey takes the stand with an interpreter to claim he killed Oliver by accident during a struggle over a revolver. He says he buried the body to avoid accusation and planned to notify Oliver’s relatives after crossing the Canadian line. The defense notes Remey’s accounts while state witnesses corroborate a camp murder linked to Wolf Creek and Dearborn Crossing.
