Mrs. Louise Boucher, Reichle postmistress, reports postal headquarters will rename Reichle to Glen effective February 1 1950. The change follows a majority petition by local mail customers. Reichle has alternately been known as Willis and Glen before settling on Glen now.

Ann Malesich is named president of the Ladies of the Elks at a Tuesday installation at the 1.0.C.F. hall. New officers include Hal Mithun as vice president Lyda Nelson as secretary Mary Re bish as treasurer and Freida Wenger as three year trustee Betty Mussetter installs and presents a gift to retiring president Ann Bramsman. Social hour followed with pinochle won by Bramsman and low by Nellie Nelson. Freida Wenger earns bridge high while Alice Lloyd takes the low. March of Dimes Dance in Dillon January 28
The annual March of Dimes dance will be held Saturday night January 28 in the city hall auditorium with Dillon orches contributing. Prizes for jitterbug and waltz winners and a door prize will be awarded. Dance runs 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Proceeds from a conference game by Dillon high school and college will go to the polio fund.

Walter Featherly Named to Report to President Truman
Walter Featherly a 16 year old Lone and Life Scout from Dillon was chosen by the Vigilante council to represent 60 000 Boy Scouts of Region 11 and report Scout and Cub records to President Truman in Washington. He will join 11 other scouts from each district on the tour, visiting New York after Washington. Featherly organized the local Veterans of Foreign Wars troop and serves as junior assistant Scoutmaster. He recently earned the God and Country award and holds an excellent Scout spirit rating.

District Judge George W. Padbury Jr pared down a Helena suit by removing a portion of Dorothy Overturf’s complaint. Mrs. Anna Severinsky age 87 died this morning at her home on Barnett Avenue Dillon. Born May 4 1862 in Severin Yugoslavia she came to the United States in 1900 and Montana in 1913. Survived by three sons Rudolph John Joe and their families a daughter Antonia Rebar in Yugoslavia and many grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Body at Brundage Funeral Home with no funeral plans yet.
