Applications auto plates being taken in Deer Lodge
Auto plates for 1932 are now receivable though no plates will be mailed until March 15 by the Deer Lodge registrar. A new law moved registration date two and a half months earlier and requires current gear plates after March 15 with penalties for noncompliance. County treasurers may handle registrations to combine tax payments with license fees. Funds from advance payments are monthly apportioned to counties for highway work. Lewis and Clark County expects about $60,000 and roughly 6,000 cars are registered locally.
