Boulder Hunter Feeds Massive Lion in Boulder Valley
Roy Murray, a Boulder stockman and trapper, killed a large female mountain lion after a five mile chase while pursuing a coyote that the lion had eaten. The lion measured 9 1/2 feet tip to tip and carried three unborn young. Murray has previously wiped out the last wolf pack in the Boulder valley and often traps around 150 coyotes each winter. The state places a $25 bounty on lions.
