Walter J. White received a two year state prison sentence after pleading guilty to forgery in district court. Judge Lyman H. Bennett handed down the sentence for allegedly forging a check on the Pahnish Live stock company and cashing it with a Dion firm. White was taken to Deer Lodge to begin serving. F. Blair drew 30 days in county jail after pleading guilty to coal theft on Oregon Short Line tracks. he was caught in the act.

Death Claims Mrs. Mary Baker of Dillon Pioneer Matron
Mary Baker widow of John S. Baker longtime Beaverhead county clerk and recorder died at her Dillon home after months of illness. Born March 23 1864 in Duncan's Retreat Utah she married John Baker in Silver Reef Utah in 1880. She came to Beaverhead in 1896 and lived in Dillon since 1901.

Scout Week Program In Progress After Postponements
Scout week activities continue after last week’s weather delays. Special services were held Sunday afternoon at Grace Methodist Episcopal church with Judge Lyman H. Bennett of Virginia City as principal speaker. The annual banquet occurred last night and the intertroop meeting is planned for tonight. Professor Lee R. Light presided. Opening prayer was offered by Rev. H. N. Tragitt. Scripture was read by Rev. J. A. Meeke and benediction by Rev. T. J. Simons. A quartet sang several selections.

The Booster club vaudeville at Montana State Normal college auditorium drew a full house. Brashwell House Broad cast won first place, Frankie and Johnny the men's chorus second, Bleeding Heart Cabaret third. Other groups included Chanticleers, Worldh's chorus, Y W C A, Women's Athletic association, glee club, M club, and the sophomore and senior classes.

In Bannack Montana the I B Mining company suffered over 1000 dollars in damage as a 63 degree below zero cold snap halted the Montana Power line between Ruby and MacAlaster. The outage lasted 19 hours crippling pumps piping and tanks despite full steam heating. A large crew fought to limit further losses.
