Pioneer Arthur Sullivan Dies After Six Week Illness
Arthur Sullivan, a beloved Dillon, Montana community figure and longtime rancher, died at nearly 86 after a six week illness from general debility linked to kidney disease. Born June 8, 1822 in North Carolina, he migrated west, mined for gold in California and Montana, and later settled in Dillon. He was a Republican earlier in life, then a Democrat, and was active in Dillon Lodge No. 30 A F and A M and in Royal Arch Masons. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2 PM at the Masonic temple, with interment at Poindexter cemetery.

Mrs J C Orem mother of Deputy State Mining Inspector W B Orem died Friday after a short illness from brain vessel rupture and pneumonia. Pioneer west woman married 1868 Salt Lake, lived Dillon since 1881. Survived by two sons Fred and W S B, two daughters Mrs Percy henson and Lessie, four Ogden brothers. Funeral held in Omaha Saturday.

Reduction in ore rates at East Helena Smelter
