Beaverhead County receives 6196.91 dollars from Beaverhead National Forest revenue and fees for the last year to be redirected to road funds. Madison County reports 4000.84 and Silver Bow 602.26. A State College report notes treble superphosphate fertilizer raised alfalfa yields on county plots in 1936, with gains from 732 to 2334 pounds per acre and higher phosphoric content. The Holger Carlson ranch saw the largest increase at 2334 pounds per acre and nine pounds of phosphate per acre. The Peter J. Peterson place reported a 732 pound per acre rise and 3.35 pounds phosphoric content per acre.

Sportsmen of County to Hold Session Tonight

Beaverhead county reports a rise in rural Christmas tuberculosis seal sales raising 110 dollars, up from 100 last year. Nell Doyle notes proceeds go to the Montana Tuberculosis Association in Helena. Northern Montana College lights overwhelmed Normal College Bulldogs 50 to 31 in the first of a two game series at Normal College gym. Local debating season opens with college and high school entries
The Normal college debating program begins with intercollegiate plans including a scheduled contest with the School of Mines using a parliamentary format with four speakers per side. Female debaters will meet State University on February 26 under coach Rush Jordan and committee members. Beaverhead high school tryouts produced five boys for the squad and the state question favored a unicameral legislature. Modern Woodmen of America Dillon camp hosts a social tonight with dancing, cards, and refreshments led by entertainment committee members.
