High School Glee Club to Present Cantata The Garden of Flowers
Beaver Head High School plans a late month cantata The Garden of Flowers by the Girls Glee Club directed by Mrs Thurman. Judge Joins Two Boise Marriage Tribes
A marriage license was issued Friday to Alonzo Belnap and Edna Roberts both Boise residents. Judge J C Smith of the district court performed the ceremony at the clerk W E Stephenson's office. A second license was issued to Antone Boka and Mary Buala with a Saturday ceremony by the same judge. Boka is a young Austrian rancher. Buala is the daughter of pioneer Austrian ranchers Mr and Mrs John Butala of the valley.

Montana farmers win state land lease at 75 cents an acre
The Montana state land board set lease rentals for state ag land at 75 cents per acre after Attorney General Wellington Rankin urged 60 cents. The June 1.00 rate was replaced, with a retroactive clause limiting payments to 75 cents from the June order onward. Smith McKnight and his father James McKnight attended from Dell for the meeting.

Beaverhead Post of the American Legion schedules a minstrel and vaudeville show for the first week of March. Counties Must Pay Funeral Expenses of Ex Service Men

Road repairs discussed for Brown's Bridge to Monida

Man Dies at County Poor Farm
James Madden aged 56 an inmate of the county poor farm died there last Thursday after a stroke of paralysis. He had worked on several county ranches but little is known of his life or relatives. Burial was on Friday in Mountain View cemetery.

Potato Expert to Talk to Beaverhead Farmers

Idaho Polytechnic of Pocatello handed the State Normal College a 27 to 10 defeat in the high school gym. McKain Swainstrom led the visitors with most points while Hildreth added four foul shots for Dillon. Next Saturday the Normal squad meets the Montana School of Mines in the same venue.

J E Hubbard Dies Suddenly En Route Home
J E Hubbard died suddenly last Friday afternoon while driving a load of logs north of Dillon. His son was with him but could not summon help in time. Hubbard, 45, a Wisconsin native, lived two years in Dillon after leaving a homestead near Apex. He leaves a wife and six children. Funeral Monday at the Methodist church. interment Mountain View Cemetery.
