C Anderson Passes Away Former Dillon Resident
C Anderson 68, brother of Clark and A L Anderson of Dillon and former Dillon resident, died last Tuesday in Maricopa California after brief illness. Born in New Bermingham Ohio, he moved to Montana as a youth and ran a stable with his brothers and partnered with Jack McLaren in a local blacksmith shop. Survived by four brothers and a sister. funeral held Friday in Bakersfield California. H B Duff of Portland visited the city and bought several carloads of cattle.

Rattle snake dens wiped out by dynamite blast
In Beaverhead canyon south of Dillon a party led by Dan Mooney used fifty sticks of dynamite to blow two rattlesnake dens. The blast killed all snakes in the two dens and injured none, with many rattles as trophies. The event drew a volunteer group including J N Giles, Charles Bourquin, Tom Pinkerton, George E Baker and George Taylor.
