Manager C A Smith reports record inquiries for the 26th monthly Dillon auction drawing buyers from Western Canada. About 50 plus Canadian buyers are expected as 1500 plus horses mules and Shetland ponies go to sale with the Boston Montana band providing music at the opera house. The sale also features a 1200 pound steer and amid changes Smith plans to relocate to Canada after the sale while selling his Dillon ranch.

Dillon approves 44000 dollar school bond measure

A special Dillon election on Saturday approved a 44000 dollar school bond for a new public school building. Voters 855 in favor and 79 against. plans consider tearing down the old eight room structure to add a sixteen room modern building. Bonds run twenty years at up to five percent with redemption after ten years.

The Gallatin County team Llewellyn Luce Lee Park and Don Langsohr defeated Dillon Beavers in a debate at the high school assembly on the telegraph ownership issue. Minstrel Show at Normal Auditorium Friday Evening

The school presents a minstrel show by the higher grade boys Friday February 7 at eight oclock to raise funds for Paxson pictures hanging in Miss Dorchester and Lees rooms. Dr Finch and Miss Herrick supervise the boys while Miss Scott leads the girls numbers. Admissions are 25 cents for the girls portion. the graduation certificates and a short talk by Dr Finch follow, free with doors open.
