Many Changes In Our Treasure State
Montana shifts from vast cattle ranges to growing farms as settlers move in. Texas ranching declines with land prices rising, ranches giving way to farms, and cattle drives shrinking. The shift mirrors Montana’s transition from range to farm, with output still forming a national meat supply. Frank Nash of South Dakota visited Dillon with sister Nina M. Nash, a Normal instructor.
