Permits for Drivers Soon on Sale Here

Dillon motorists must obtain new drivers licenses after the first of the year. City Treasurer F C McFadden announced that permits sold last August were valid until December 31 1933 and that the license sale date will be announced later. Each permit costs 50 cents and every person driving a car on city streets must have one, though ranchers and occasional visitors are exempt. Owners must ensure everyone using their vehicle holds a permit.

The Beaverhead County Clerk records show eighty births in 1933, three more than 1932. There were 40 boys and 40 girls, including one set of twins. June led in the number of births.

Canyon to close for winter with New Year dance

The Canyon resort in Beaverhead county will hold its final dance of the season Sunday night with Smithy's orchestra providing music. Idaho Teacher Killed as Truck Plunges Down Bank

SALMON Idaho Dec 26 Miss Ruth Johnson 23 Clarkston Washington a teacher in Gibbonsville Idaho schools died of injuries after a heavily laden truck fell about 40 feet down a bank. Nine others in the truck headed to Salmon for Christmas were injured, none seriously. Driver Jack Heidi lost control on the steep grade.
