Beaverhead County Farmers Institute Sessions At Dell And Dillon
The Beaverhead county annual farmers institute held last week featured opening sessions at Dell with two crowded talks by H. C. Patterson and D. D. McKnight and discussions on grain irrigation and ranch problems. Dillon hosted Friday sessions with fewer attendees but strong papers on cattle, sheep, dairy, and creamery work, followed by lively discussions and a note that several papers will be published later.

Mrs. V J Harrison wife of F P Harrison prominent Dillon businessman died last Thursday at her home from pulmonary tuberculosis. Born December 4 1849 in Iowa she married F P Harrison December 5 1877 in Fairfield Nebraska. Survived by husband five children J B McClaren Cleo Frances Beulah Homer Harrison and many friends. Funeral last Friday at Helena Street home with interment at Mountain View cemetery.

A large Dillon contingent heads to Livingston for the Montana State Teachers Association session opening Wednesday. The first public library evening devoted to Madonna in Art drew a full house with about twenty standing attendees. Hosts displayed over a hundred Madonnas from Italian Flemish German French Spanish and other schools, with notable works and a future display planned for remaining copies. Speakers included Miss Meehan Paxton Miss Bishop and Prof J K Monroe plus Mr Frank Eliel, and future events will feature Western Indian art with E S Paxson of Butte possibly in attendance.

Crowell filed in district court for a divorce from Mary Crowell alleging they wed in Dillon on April 9 1903 and separated by April 25 1903 He claims Mary later falsely represented herself as single and married Samuel Hueted at Livingston on December 31 1903 The suit seeks dissolution of the marriage Funeral services for Oscar Wells were held at the Melrose Presbyterian Church with Masonic rites and tributes noting his integrity devotion to theosophical studies and service to the community.
