No man is killed when par plunges from road
Mrs. Lorena Carlson 41 of Quartz Hill near Dewey was killed and her husband Fred Carlson 60 seriously injured when their car plunged from the Divide Wisdom highway into the Big Hole river near Dewey. The crash occurred last Thursday morning and the body was found two hours later by county officials.

Wisdom Folks Hear Christmas Carols From Home to Hall
In Wisdom on Sunday evening a group of singers with an organ caroled from house to house, a cherished old custom. The Ted Harper post of the American Legion and Auxiliary funded the treat. The carolers then visited Le Bion hall for a program and a Christmas tree for members’ children, with about fifty attendees and refreshments. Nearby guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Murphy and their families from Jackson.

Arkansas Youth Wins First in National Business Women Poster Contest
Earl Wiegand of Little Rock Arkansas won the first prize in a poster contest held by the National Federation of Business and Professional Women to promote National Business Women's Week 1936. Wiegand, a 1929 Little Rock High School graduate, works for an engraving firm and belongs to the Little Rock Art League. The first honorable mention went to Miss Viogodale Harley of Be Paul.
