Neighborhood groups hosted a Christmas party at the 1.0.C.F. hall with musical numbers, recitations, and Santa's visits. Other events included Lutheran Ladies' Aid, Royal Neighbors, D.B.S. Danish Brotherhood, Bluebird Club, Baptist Missionary Society, and Order of Eastern Star gatherings with refreshments and planned future events at I.O.O.F. and ICCF halls.
A joint Christmas party by the Dillon Rotary and Kiwanis clubs occurred Monday at the Dillon Country Club. A turkey dinner followed by carols was led by Edwin R. Buck and Frank Tyre. The two clubs organized a share-the-ride program with Fred Woodside J. G. White J. W. Walters and Lee Hoerning coordinating.
Funeral services for William H. Crooker were held Friday afternoon at the Dillon Masonic hall. Rev. Belle Long officiated and graveside services were conducted by Dillon lodge No. 16, A F and A M, at Mountain View cemetery.
OPA rules that members of a family living together and sharing a single coffee supply will be treated as one unit when declaring the amount of coffee on hand as of November 28.
