Car plunges from highway south of Dillon Monday
A car driven by Alfred W. Cawest, Jr. of Pasadena, California, plunged from the highway near Barretts south of Dillon and landed upright in willows. Driver and two passengers Sam Cohen and B. J. Shiffman, both of Los Angeles, escaped injury. The car was not badly damaged and the men were brought to Dillon by Gilbert Hilde.

Beaverhead Legion Post Holds Successful Lima Meeting
Beaverhead post of the American Legion gathered at Lima last Thursday with nearly 50 veterans attending a banquet at the White cafe. C. J. George W. Lovell 69 prominent Dillon resident died Sunday at his sister Mrs. Emmy Meyers home in Highmore South Dakota. Schools of City Close for Holiday
Christmas vacation has released students from Dillon's schools until Tuesday Jan 2. The Montana State Normal college and training school begun recess, with winter classes set to resume Jan 3 and new student registration on Jan 2. Beaverhead County High School also closes for the holiday ahead of moving into the new $320,000 high school.

Christmas programs span Dillon churches with pageant at Baptist
Dillon churches present Christmas observances. The Baptist church opened with the pageant The Birth of Our Saviour on Sunday. St. Rose's Church schedules Christmas day masses at midnight nine AM and 10:30 AM with Benediction after the high mass. The augmented choir will sing Theo LaHache's Pro Pace at the two high masses on Christmas and on New Year's day. The midnight service opens with old carols, continuing on page 6.

Schulz Wins Montana Flyer Title After Tie
Otto A. Schulz of Sheridan wins the Montana flyer championship at Sheridan after a coin toss ties him with William Gleed of Lirha and Dr. Lee Smith of Butte. All three shot 21 birds, one of the lowest winning scores, as pigeons were exhausted and no shoot off could determine a single winner. Schulz previously won in 1934.
