Governor White Survives Rail Wreck Near Las Vegas
State leader B F White former Montana governor was aboard the American express train on the Salt Lake route when it wrecked eight miles south of Las Vegas Nevada. The engine ran away at 50 miles per hour into its train and caused minor injuries to about a score of passengers. White escaped with only bruises after being hurled across the dining car.

James Walker Charles Barnes and Buckley sentenced by Judge Poindexter to ten years each in the state penitentiary for the Dillon Dry Goods store robbery. Montana stockmen hailed a new rail kill price schedule set by the state board of stock commissioners led by Secretary PD W Raymond. The changes lift values for 2 year old steers from 27.50 to 30 and 4 year old steers from 40 to 45, keep bulls at 50, and rename yearlings to yearlings of either sex while maintaining 25 for cows. It also allows estrays to be shipped to market points without inspectors.
