Bennington Cleared in Noted County Arson Trial
Charles Bennington is acquitted of arson in the Patterson hotel fire at Dell his discovery of the blaze and alarm helping fire crews noted though testimony was contradictory. McCafferty also found not guilty in a grand larceny case with a supplementary verdict for the prosecuting witness. The Normal College hosts alumni activities ahead of a state association meeting.

Christmas at Orphans Home in Twin Bridges
The State Orphans Home in Twin Bridges celebrated a generous Christmas with gifts from fraternal groups and Missoula, a purse from John D. Ryan and Butte donors, and two automobile loads of presents brought by Roy Ally. Two large decorated trees outlets overflowed with toys as many visitors toured the home on Christmas Day.

Improvements at The Dillon Novelty Works Garage and Store
The Dillon Novelty Works has upgraded its facilities with a front 12 by 12 foot office and store room. Shelves line the walls for supplies and automobile accessories while desks and new office furnishings create an attractive space. A large bay window remains for displays and a turning lathe eight feet long has been installed. A drill press and a shaper have been ordered and will be installed soon.
