The autumn quarter commencement at Montana State Normal College featured President Sheldon B. Davis awarding diplomas to nine two year students of the first division of the class of 1935. Illness of Day Claims Dillon Boy
Gerald Miller 12 son of Mr and Mrs Fred Miller of Beaverhead valley died at Barrett hospital after a brief illness. Stricken while playing at the public school grounds Wednesday he was taken to the hospital but did not recover.

Dillon Rotary Christmas Meeting Featured String Wind Ensemble

Officers were installed by Monroe and Tom Scott. Beaverhead county tax collections rose from last year with delinquent taxes down to 20567 77 from 24572 83 and total collections reaching 166774 84 including 110383 99 real estate last half tax.

E. D. Sandvig, acting supervisor since A. A. Simpson’s transfer, is named full forest supervisor. He has been with Beaverhead National Forest for years and will lead the third largest forest in the United States, now expanded with Madison addition. Simpson moved last summer to Lincoln Neb to head the land office for the shelter belt project.

He was born in Chicago 66 years ago and came to the Dell area as a youth, later running his own ranch. Death of Beaverhead County resident Frank Allen at county farm
Frank Allen aged 78, longtime Beaverhead county resident, died last Thursday morning while an inmate at the county farm. A native of Missouri, he worked on several ranches in the southern part of the county. No relatives were found. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the chapel with Rev. Frat Roge church officiating.
