Receipts From Land Revenue Show Montana Growth
The annual report of State Land Agent F. H. Ray records Montana receiving nearly 9 million dollars from land sales and leases since joining the union 21 years ago. Rentals total 2,591.60 and sales 61,791.33. 2,446.13 acres remain under lease. In the year 142,338.7 acres sold at 19.20 per acre, with 11412.83 acres under the new cash-and-installment plan. One thousand and fifty five acres received patents, and 102 acres were granted free for right of way.
