Open house at the State Orphans' Home in Twin Bridges is set for Tuesday December 19 from 9 am to 5 pm with a guided tour at 2 pm by officials from Governor Bonner's office and state agencies. Dillon's Little Theatre Group sponsored by the Beverhead Chamber of Commerce staged two successful performances on the High School stage, contributing to the annual children’s Christmas party fund. Chamber members aided backstage, and Bagley school students sold advance tickets totaling nearly 125 dollars, with Miss Salzman’s class earning the grand prize.

E. W. Ferris Dies at 75 After Heart Attack
Edgar W. Ferris aged 75 died of a heart attack at his ranch home north of Dillon last Wednesday evening. funeral services were held at Grace Memorial Methodist church with Rev. Robert N. Johnstone officiating. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery. Survivors include his wife, two sons, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and daughter, plus three brothers and three sisters.

Charles R Selway chief commissaryman USN of Dillon Montana serves aboard the destroyer USS Conway which was recently recommissioned at the Boston Naval Shipyard. The ship earned 15 battle stars in World War II and is named for William Conway who refused to haul down the National Ensign at Pensacola when the yard surrendered to the Confederates.

Mrs. Elsie Garrison died at Barrett hospital early Tuesday morning December 12 after a three week illness. Born December 23 1875 in Alder Gulch Madison County she lived near Glen in the lower Big Hole valley since 1910.
