Aged Pioneer Benjamin Bond Dies After Civil War Service
Benjamin Bond a Beaverhead County resident since 1881 died at his Dillon home after an internal illness. Born July 31 1887 in Richmond Indiana he served in the Civil War with Company D 14th regiment. He moved from Memphis Missouri to Dillon and then to a ranch north of town. Funeral at St James Episcopal Church tomorrow at 2 pm with burial in Mountain View Cemetery. He leaves eight children and a wife predeceased him.

Beaverhead County Leads Montana Wool Clip in 1921
Beaverhead County supplied about one seventh of Montana’s total wool clip, with 3,156,000 pounds out of 16,723,000 shipped statewide. Dillon saw more wool shipped than 1920, prices ranged from 16 to 28 cents depending on grade, and early 1922 contracts pushed prices toward 25 to 30 cents. Deer Lodge formed a pool bidding system, with some wool bid still refused at 37 to 38 cents later in the year.

Primary Parent-Teachers Association Hold Meeting

Sidewalks Must Be Clean City Law Enforced in Dillon

Two Victims of Paralysis In Dillon News
Mrs. Salinda Stone died after a paralytic stroke Wednesday morning while her granddaughter Lena Reddington awaited her return home in Dillon. The 69 year old immigrant from Lewistown had lived in Dillon six years and is survived by two daughters and several relatives. Funeral was held Monday. Thomas Allen Wallace died Friday at the Carter ranch after a paralytic stroke Wednesday while en route to his Molessor area ranch. He was 72, born in Wisconsin, with an adopted daughter and wife surviving. Funeral was held Saturday in Dillon.
