In Dillon last Friday night the Normal College boys faced the Agricultural College team from Bozeman in a fast, evenly matched routable contest. Final score 19 to 17 with Noyes Poindexter and Hansen starring for Normal and Griffith Hapner Hartman for Bozeman. Both squads showed excellent teamwork and minimal fouling as a rematch is anticipated.

A Dixon introduced measure aims to resolve land sale issues within the Bedrock reservoir area under the Carey act. The plan would allow surrender of non saleable lands to the federal government in exchange for lands elsewhere to irrigate about seventy thousand acres from Dillon to Twin Bridges. Secretary Hitchcock backs the proposition. Dixon also seeks funds for public buildings in Great Falls and Missoula.

The Beaverhead club commercial committee met last Thursday evening and endorsed President Roosevelt's freight rate policy. Chairman Davidson is empowered to appoint two delegates for the state freight rate convention in Helena tomorrow. Representatives Hon. G. T. Paul and J. E. Moree were named for the Helena meeting. The group discussed coal freight rates and fire insurance rate changes, noting dissatisfaction with the new local rate card and classifications.

Hinkley Hope Burglarized On Argenta Road
Last Saturday evening Mrs. W. A. Hinkley’s residence on the new Argenta road west of town was burglarized. Two hoboes are suspected after Mrs. Hinkley saw two men inside. they fled when help arrived. Police seek the culprit as $10 in cash and personal property valued at about 25 dollars or more were taken.
