The Bald of Christmas Red cross seals for the Montana Tuberculosis association begin in Dillon under Legion Auxiliary auspices led by Mrs. C. W. Robison. Volunteers include Miss Alice Roe Mrs. Lee McCrackin Miss Mc Gregory and local school principals. The drive aims to fund tuberculosis education and prevention across Montana with five cents per seal as a per capita goal.

Survived by wife, several children, mother Mrs Rebecca Freeman in Los Angeles, two brothers Reece Freeman of Oregon and Sam Freeman of Dillon, and sister Mrs Cora Anderson of Sage Creek.

A. Barshaw, 49, a former Dillon police officer and Madison County ranch resident, died in Butte Tuesday night after gallstone surgery. He lived in Dillon in recent years working in a restaurant. Survived by wife and four children Archie Barshaw of Dillon, Mrs. Adolph Stewart, Mrs. Sailor of Twin Bridges, and Mrs. Ed Morrow of Laban Washington. Remains will go to Twin Bridges for interment with funeral later this week.

Miss Helen LaLonge departed Friday morning for Denver where she plans to make her future home. She has resided in Dillon for the past year with her uncle R. B. Foster.
The county board, in a two day session, awarded the two year county printing contract to The Examiner Printing Company as the low bidder. Lima Ledger and Big Hole Basin News also bid. The county poor care contract went to Dr W H Stephan. No county health nurse was hired.
Montana Power company and its subsidiaries will settle 28 county tax suits out of court. The company will pay 1922 taxes in full and one half of 1923 taxes. counties will cover the rest without interest. The 1928 settlement follows the 1924 levy, with $485,362.34 involved and $93,000 tied to protested 1922 taxes.
James Allen learned of his brother Peter Allen’s death after a cage in the Mountain Com mine dropped. A companion also died and two others were injured. Peter Allen was known in Dillon for his work with the Dillon Meat Company.
