Bleachers will be south of the arena with unnumbered sections and first come seating. tickets are limited to capacity. Clowns Andy Walmack and Buck Robinson star as surprise regulars while Ed Buck handles announcing in his blunt style. The Beaverhead high school band will add parade flair under Joe Smith. Nelson Jewelry offers a 17 jewel watch to the queen runner-up. Joe Smith Orchestra provides rodeo music at city hall with two Bozeman guest musicians. A large parade is planned with 20 entrants and a $1,000 prize. a Glendale street display advertises the event near Mathews store.

Beaver Chamber Announces Monthly Retailer Meetings
W Sargent chairman of the Beaver Chamber air committee says monthly meetings for retailers and professionals in the county will be held in the city hall chambers every fourth Thursday at 8 p m. The sessions aim to discuss basic and professional matters and help solve local business problems in a group setting. The first meeting is scheduled for Friday night August 26.

Peak farm labor demand fills 500 haying jobs in area
George R. Baker of the local employment service reports peak agricultural labor demand in late July through early August. More than 500 haying positions were filled, July placements totaled 207 with 151 in agriculture. Dillon ranked 12th nationwide in total placements and sixth in agricultural placements. Projections anticipate 150 new county openings in September and 75 to 100 in October as second alfalfa cutting and harvest season begin, with a generally balanced labor market and minimal unemployment.

Butte Miner Dies After Fall In Monte Cristo Shaft
Coroner investigates the death of S. James Sherman 62, a Cornwall native and 42-year pumpman in Butte mines. He reportedly suffered a dizzy spell or heart attack on the shaft brink at the Monte Cristo mine in Vipond district and fell 20 feet. He left a wife and who attended service at Mount Moriah cemetery.

Wall of Church Under Construction Topples
The rear wall of the First Baptist church under construction at Idaho and Sebree streets collapsed in a Monday afternoon wind storm. It crashed through the roof of the adjoining cottage used as a temporary church, damaging the cottage and destroying a piano and furniture. Estimated damage to the cottage runs 300 to 500 dollars and several cinder blocks were chipped or broken. No other major city damage was reported.

Canadian Indian Draws Jail Term
Toby Deagarlias claimed Canadian Indian status as he was arrested Saturday afternoon by Chief Dan Mooney for driving an antiquated sedan while intoxicated. He pled guilty in police court and received a $75 fine, unpaid, now serving in county jail. his wife was sent to the Fort Hall Idaho reservation to await his release and the car sits at the police station.
