Nellie Schlegel a young Dil lon matron died at her Dillon home Friday morning after about a week of illness from a heart attack. A Swan Valley Idaho native born 33 years ago she moved to Beaverhead county in childhood and lived in Dillon and Armstead. She attended Dillon schools. She is survived by her husband.

Car Mishaps In Beaverhead County Reported
Several road incidents were logged in the past week on Beaverhead highways. Mrs. Leo Dupee of Beverly Hills suffered serious cuts, while Frank K. Dixon of New York sustained knee and scalp injuries when a Mrs. J. Ross driven car plunged off the highway near Monida. The same period a Bill Hartwig driven car hit a cow and calf south of the Dubois ranch, killing both animals. Hartwig and passenger Floyd Vandegrift escaped injury. A Fred Jacobs vehicle overturned near Glen. the driver and one other passenger escaped.

Former local citizen dies in Butte Monday
George Gentry Poindexter 52, Dillon-born Beaverhead pioneer, longtime invalid, died in a Butte hospital after a long illness. Survived by sisters Mrs W V Kingsbury and Mrs Frank H Cooney, brother Walter Poindexter of Stevensville, and Governor Frank H Cooney as a brother-in-law. Family of Local Man Victims of Scotland Blaze
Thomas Scott, a well known Dillong man, learned by telegraph last Friday that his brother James Scott and his brother-in-law Jim Damgniesh perished in a fire that destroyed the family home in Galashiela Scotland. A sister Miss Jane Scott was seriously burned in the blaze. No specifics were given in the telegram.

Third Annual Rodeo Promises Wild West Show in Dillon
Beaverhead county farmers and Dillon volunteer fire department prepare for the third annual rodeo in Dillon on Sunday and Labor Day September 2 and 3. Top riders from nearby states expected to compete against champion buckers from Jim Johnson Jackson Fred Gill Wise River and BIH Gray Lima. Sam Freeman named arena manager with support from the three promoters. Day money totals 50 30 20 for bucking and 30 20 10 for calf roping with additional purses for bulldogging bareback riding wild steer and bull riding. A. G. Williams is secretary. The Beaverhead high school band will perform daily and a parade precedes shows. Proceeds fund a rural fire track for farmers protection.
