The article explains four methods to date a horse by facial skin, ribs, tail flesh, and especially teeth. It outlines aging by tooth development: temporary and permanent sets, cup wear from ages five to eleven, and the sequence of wear beginning at the center with five being a full mouth. It notes general appearance can aid age estimation, though teeth remain most reliable.

Robert Jaggers sues Chicago Montana Gold Dredging Company and four named individuals for $3,525 for labor performed between November 1 1906 and October 17 1912. The summons requires a written answer within twenty days and warns of default judgment. Case dated July 22 1913, Clerk C. W. Conger.
