The Beaverhead board of county commissioners held the regular monthly meeting on Monday August 1 1932 at 9 00 am with all members and the clerk present Minutes from the last regular session and openings of equalization and preliminary budget were read and approved Barney Greene of Centennial Valley explained the status of the road through his ranch and agreed to allow use by all vehicles and pack trains without interference.
Car thieves shot at by Lima deputy after theft
Deputy James Burt fired at car thieves who stole a Ford sedan from W. F. Cashmore on South Atlantic street Sunday night. The suspects abandoned the vehicle in Lima about 2 AM Monday after Burt flagged the fleeing sedan and fired multiple shots as it fled.
Forti second year students graduate at state normal college
The August diploma group of Montana State Normal College, forty two year students, received two year course diplomas at the college auditorium. Charles Henry gave the commencement address on The Teacher's Task. President Sheldon B. Davis awarded the diplomas and alight music and processions marked the ceremony.

Sheepherder Found Dead on Hillside Near Blacktail Camp
Harles Halstead an aged sheepherder was found dead on a hillside above his camp on the left fork of the Blacktail last Friday morning likely from a heart attack. The body was discovered by another herder. his watch ran and sheep were intact, dogs stood guard as officers arrived. Coroner James E. Phillips and Chief Charles Nelson moved the body to Dillon and an inquest was scheduled. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from Brundage chapel.
