Beaverhead Game Warden Charles Price Retires
Charles R. Price, veteran game warden of Beaverhead County, retired on Aug. 1, 1950 after 25 years of service. He aided stocking streams with trout and pheasants and expanded antelope numbers from about 50 in 1930 to over a thousand, and helped introduce elk to the area. His fair enforcement and conservation work left Beaverhead a hunter and angler paradise.

Lloyd Frizzell Dies in Nevada Fire at 69
Former Dillon resident Lloyd Frizzell, 69, died July 30, 1950, in Gerlach Nevada, when a fire destroyed his home. Born in Kansas he lived in Dillon in the 1890s and Idaho around 1910 before settling in Nevada to ranch. Survivors include brother Howard W. Frizzel of Placerville California and a Sacramento sister. Funeral and interment were held August 1 1950 in Gerlach.

Eliel Store Steel Frame to Rise as Construction Starts
Eliel's new building begins to show its skeleton today as steelworkers assemble beams. The final carload of structural steel arrived Monday morning. Cement pours total 3,000 bags for the rough floor, enclosing 1,320 square feet of wire mesh and 4,000 feet of reinforcement rods. 800 feet of electric conduit pipe, floor wiring, and cold air return ducts are in place. A 3,000 pound boiler and a 7,000 gallon oil tank have been lowered into the excavations, the tank earth covered. The boiler room is complemented by another basement area to be used as stock and sample rooms.

The Boys State program in Dillon features a Sunday trip to Virginia City with a buffalo barbecue Aug 20. Joseph A Campbell Dies at Fort Harrison at 68
Joseph A Campbell, 68, died at Fort Harrison last Thursday August 3 after an illness that brought him from Dillon on June 15 1950. Born December 13 1881 in Tennessee he served in the coast artillery 1901 1904 and worked as a stationary engineer arriving in this area around 1930 and Dillon in 1948. He is survived by his widow and brother in law Joe Holt of Dillon. Funeral arrangements were made by the survivors.
