Pioneer Henry H. Sappington dies in Butte hospital
Henry H. Sappington a Beaverhead county pioneer died in a Butte hospital last Thursday after noon from cirrhosis of the liver. Born January 21 1848 in St Louis he served in the Missouri militia then moved to Montana and later engaged in stock raising near Logan. He served in the state legislature in 1892 and was active in public welfare. The funeral was held Sunday near Warrison.

His Shoes Are Clue In Barretts Station Burglary
Samuel Ferry was charged with second degree burglary for entering the Barretts Station section house about 10 AM on April 8. He was captured at the Elk saloon last Saturday afternoon after Sheriff Erwin identified him by shoes matching stolen items from Japanese section bands. Ferry confessed once confronted and the stolen wearing apparel was found in multiple town locations. He was arraigned Monday and bound over to the district court.
