The Beaverhead County High School will hold its eighth annual declamatory contest next Saturday evening April 29 at the high school. Three contestants perform a musical interlude, with 26 cent admission to fund sending the school delegation to Missoula for the state meet. Clifford Makes Several Arrests In Beaverhead County
Deputy game and fish warden J R Clifford, from Anaconda, arrested rancher Eli Twitchwell seven miles from Monida for slaughtering game out of season. Twitchwell pleaded guilty in Lima before Judge George Noble and was fined 250 dollars. Clifford also halted two boys fishing without licenses on Beaverhead River. Arthur Sabin and Elmer Woodside admitted guilt before Police Magistrate Rich and were fined 25 dollars each.

Death of an Aged Lady in Armstead
Mrs. Lydia Wheelehouse 82 died last Sunday in Armstead at her daughter's home. She leaves one daughter Mrs. Priest and a granddaughter in Armstead. Undertaker Brundage prepared the remains for shipment to Nebraska. The body was sent to Seward, Nebraska for interment.
