J W Farrell of Joliet and state counsel of defense visited Dillon last Saturday to probe dynamite found near the river crossing at Lovers Leap and a report of an attempted break in at the powder house on Big Hole road. A dynamite stick was found by Jim Patrick the prior week and may have rolled off the track after being mashed by a wheel. Montana Mercantile Co owners say no break in occurred and offer no further clues though they recall a suspicious man seen near the powder house weeks earlier.
