Oil Tanker Burns Near Dillon on Tuesday
A Cogswell Oil Company tanker carrying about 4000 gallons of gasoline burned completely near the Madison county side of the Point of Rocks boundary line around 8:45 yesterday morning. Kenneth Kincheloe, the driver, managed to escape as officers and motorists assisted him after the blaze damaged a telephone line and halted traffic for several hours. The fire caused no explosion.

Dr S E Davis spoke on the English teacher's role. Miss Thula Rhodes and Miss Catherine Harrington spoke at luncheon. A National English Council message was read as a luncheon highlight. The meeting ended with “America” sung by the group.

Nicholas J. Ahders longtime Reichle resident dies at his home in Reichle after 27 years there. Funeral Thursday in Butte with interment at Mt. Moriah. Services by Rev. D. R. Borenke. He and his wife ran the Reichle post office and general store. Survived by wife Mary, son William of Butte, a Denver grandson and great grandson, a niece and nephew, Mrs. R. R. High school seniors dominated the interclass track meet scoring 83 points to 14 for the juniors and none for sophomores. Abram Potts Dies in Los Angeles Former Dillon Drugstore Owner
Abram Potts longtime Dillon druggist who ran the Gosman Drug Store for two decades died at his Los Angeles home after months of declining health. A native of Canada he earlier operated stores in New York and Butte before moving to California in 1926. Survived by his wife sister in Seattle a nephew in the U S Navy and a half sister in Canada. Funeral and burial will be in Los Angeles.
