Pioneer Business Man Lambert Eliel Dies in Los Angeles
Lam bert Eliel Dillon's pioneer businessman dies in Los Angeles after illness. He came to Dillon in 1880 and formed Eliel Bros with his brothers, later joining Montana Mercantile Co and Gibbonville Mercantile Co. He married Elizabeth Heinemann in 1887. they had three sons. Survived by his wife, three sons, and four brothers. Funeral plans pending arrivals in Los Angeles.

Railroad officials visit Dillon and discuss new depot
A party of high railroad officials from the Harriman lines spent about an hour in Dillon last Friday touring yards and warehouses and meeting local business leaders. They discussed depot plans with Gov. White, confirming Dillon will get a new depot this year, with yard reconfiguration to place the main track on the east side.

The Dillon wool market reports its most active week as a large portion of the season’s clip is contracted early. Prices range from 18 to 20 cents, higher than current Boston or Philadelphia values, with J B Gowan of Caldwell Idaho the leading buyer contracting 300,000 pounds and securing top county clips. Hample of Boston’s Jeremiah Williams company also bought about 200,000 pounds and remains in Dillon negotiating further deals.

William Clay Patterson known as Bud Patterson of Dell died at 8 pm Monday from pneumonia after a short illness. Born in Vernon, Texas, he moved to Montana in childhood and lived in Dillon 18 years. He worked in sheep farming with H. Clay Patterson of Jell and was widely liked. Funeral at Lima Methodist Church with Rev. A A Luce officiating. burial in Lima cemetery.

Rollie Scott Named Poultry Department Head at Bozeman Station
Bedrock resident Rollie Scott has been appointed to lead the poultry department at the government experiment station in Bozeman. He will depart for Bozeman to assume his duties while continuing to own and operate the Wild Rose poultry farm nearby. Scott has long drawn attention for his work and was previously featured when his poultry paper impressed Bozeman College officials.

Easy Victim Reports Peculiar Dillon Robbery
Arthur Kilby a North Carolina arrival told Dillon police he was robbed in the Kirkpatrick building by a room mate named Arthur Andrews. Kilby reported $28.50 in gold missing after being awakened by a thief in his room. Andrews denied the allegations and was jailed after a search found 85 cents on him.
