Beaverhead plans for Boys State in Dillon this August
Beaverhead county will send three youths to the American Legion Boys State in Dillon in August with a 300-boy cap for all counties. Applications must be filed by May 1 at Boys State HQ in Helena. Two Montana delegates will later go to the national Boys Forum in Washington, D C.

Dillon Elks Install Officers for New Lodge Year
Dillon lodge No. 1554 Elks installed officers for the new year at the I.O.O.F. hall. Harry Tash became exalted ruler, with Phillip Lovell and George Heikkila as leading officers. The ceremony featured a Montana Elks association president Leo Musburger and grand officers from Butte. Pioneer business man reaches 80th milestone
Lenwood A. Jeane of Reno Oklahoma was sentenced to 90 days in county jail after pleading guilty to fraudulently cashing bad checks. He resisted arrest by Officer Boyd O Neal before surrendering near the Dillon Creamery. Separately Albert Stamm the Dillon jeweler celebrated his 80th birthday arriving from Butte to visit family and longtime friends. Stamm helped found one of Dillon s oldest firms and recalled yearly chop suey dinners with three contemporaries including former Hawaii governor Joseph Poindexter.

Social Security Official To Visit Dil lon Next Tuesday
C Ben Reavis manager of the Butte field office Social Security Administration will be at the employment service office in Dillon from 1 to 3 pm on Tuesday to help area residents file benefit claims obtain new and duplicate social security cards and answer questions about the old age and survivors insurance program. The notice explains retirement and survivors benefits and that applications must be filed with a Social Security Administration office for all program benefits.

Three Hurt In Highway Auto Crash Near Melrose
Mrs. Jessie Morse of Sheridan is hospitalized at Barrett with multiple lacerations after a car driven by Max Fulford of Sheridan veered off the highway just south of Melrose and overturned at least twice. Fulford and Mrs. John C. Brown escaped with minor injuries and were treated and released. Deputy Sheriff Burl Stephens and Dr. Routledge aided the victims.
