Dillon hosts first kite tournament with strong wind
Dillon's inaugural kite contest on a Turner camp field drew a brisk wind and many flyers rising easily. Burness Farrel won two prizes for longevity and highest flight. WRECKED CAR TURNS UP AS STRIPPED SCRAP
Last Saturday a car rolled onto its side along the river road causing excitement among motorists and pedestrians. After calls to the city, investigators learned the Montana Auto Supply Co sold the vehicle for six dollars. The buyer hauled it to the river road, stripped all usable parts, scrapped them, and pushed the rest over the embankment.

Young Boy Henry Otis Hedges Dies at Home
Henry Otis, three and a half, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hedges, died Thursday morning at the family residence on Kentucky Avenue after weeks of illness. Funeral services were held Friday at Brindage Undertaking parlors with Rev. Edward Smith, burial at Mountain View cemetery. Survived by parents and several siblings.

Judge Poindexter Arrives in Dillon for Weeks of Visit
Judge Joseph B. Poindexter arrived in Dillon last Friday morning for several weeks of visiting with relatives and friends. He will stay with brothers Dr. F. M. Poindexter and B. L. Poindexter and plans to return to Honolulu to rejoin a large law firm. During his stay he will visit his daughter Helen at college in southern California and his son Everton in New York City before resuming duties in Hawaii.
