Wool market shows best week in some time in Boston report
The volume of wool business reaches a multiweek high as manufacturers order on old contracts. New York and London markets show mixed signals with prices near the bottom, buyers cautious, and a hoped for larger scale trading approaching. Importantly supplies and prices vary by grade from merino to crossbred, with 50 to 53 cents cleaned being cited for some lots and overall market described as nominal and unsettled.
