Opening of St James Guild Hall in Dillon Draws Big Local Turnout

The Dillon St James guild hall was formally opened with a concerted church ceremony led by Bishop L. R. Brewer and Rev. S. D. Hooker. Mrs. Ellen Lovell was honored as the generous donor. Speakers included Lyman H. Bennett, Miss Lucy H. Carson, Fidel Huber, Rev. S. C. Blackinton, and Dr. Swain. Attendees included out of town guests Dr. Brasier, Dr. Simpson, Mrs. Beecher, Mrs. Graeter, Prof. Davee, and Mr. Haulton Wright.

Jewish comedians this week at Scenic theatre

Bob Hay, Scenic theatre manager, brings acrobats Gordon and Hellimont for an excellent program starting last Sunday matinee. They perform muscular feats, ring acts, strength stunts, and tumbling with notable skill. Shayne and King from the Oorheum circuit arrive Thursday to Saturday as top Jewish vaudeville acts. Sunday features Hill and Knight and Fanny Rowan. A new drop curtain and improved rear seating enhance the show.

High School Benefit Program This Friday Evening

A program for the Athletic Association will be held at the high school this Friday evening. Admission is twenty-five cents. After the program ice cream cake and coffee will be served in the library, and homemade candy will be available. Performers include Lela Maxwell piano solo and selections by A F Colver, Odette, and Octette.

The University of Montana announced the seventh Inter scholastic Meet for 1910 to be held in Missoula from May 10 to 14. The bulletin invites all accredited Montana high schools to participate in declamatory contests athletic events and debates to determine the state champion. Sixty prizes will be awarded including cups, annual contest prizes, and forty eight medals for athletic winners.
