Invoices to curb repair charges for farm gear urged
OPA will require repair shops to issue detailed invoices and keep time records to curb hourly charges. If time used and time charged diverge unreasonably, enforcement will follow. Prices remain near March 1942 highs with war demands pressuring farmers to maintain machinery and share equipment. WPB and WEA note efforts to protect and lubricate machinery and shift non farm use quotas when needed.
