Barnes Convicted By Jury In Battery Case
C E Barnes was found guilty of assault and battery with intent to kill in State vs Barnes. Jury reached verdict Wednesday evening after deliberation. Minimum penalty is a fine or one day in jail. maximum is 100 fine and thirty days. Barnes, about nineteen, was sent to reform school until twenty one but suspended on good behavior and released to his parents. Attorneys Brennan & Brennan represented the defendant.
