A county resident asked States Attorney Wineman about prosecuting someone for hauling quack grass on public highways. Wineman could not identify quack grass in legal texts. A. M. Powell of Devils Lake sent a clipping explaining quack or twich grass is spreading widely in the northwest.
An ad asserts catarrh causes deafness and touts Hall's Catarrh Cure with a $100 payout for any cure failure. Also a mortgage foreclosure notice for property in Ramsey County North Dakota, with sale set for August 29, 1903, at 10 am.
