Great Northern Narrowly Escapes Wreck West of Grand Harbor
The Great Northern train No 2 driven by Engineer Dan Mullally ditched after a replaced rail was not securely fastened. The engine turned on its side, cars derailed, but all passengers survived with minor injuries. Mullally and the crew were shaken but unhurt. fireman jumped to safety. Investigation will determine blame as wrecking crews cleared the scene.
