City School's New Teachers
At the board of education meeting last Tuesday evening a corps of teachers was elected for the next year including Dawar as superintendent, Jowell science and mathematics, Skundberg Latin, Potter music and drawing, and several grade teachers. The high school play All on Account of Professor delighted the audience with strong performances led by Lyle Cowan and George Walker, with notable turns by Orville Duell and May Bowman, and with music and recitations from Miss Potter and others. The production received enthusiastic approval and interest continued as audiences hummed the popular number We’re Going Now to China.
