Judge Tolton was asked to let the FDIC intervene in a foreclosure suit filed by Roger Clary and family against First Destin Service Corporation to reclaim the property. Destin Risks Paying Back State Revenue If Funds Die

Destin may owe about 45000 dollars to the state if it fails to qualify for revenue sharing after receiving 17000 in July and August plus 2200 in cigarette tax money. City Manager Jack Dorman said the city will continue to receive checks while awaiting December or January results, then may need to return funds if not eligible. The doubt grew after the council cut the millage from 2 to 1.5, risking the needed 3 mills based on 1984 assessments to qualify.
