Florida Coastal Erosion Study Aims to Save 800 Miles
UF engineers launch what officials call the most comprehensive coastal study globally to monitor and analyze Florida shores. The eight to ten year project with $10 to $20 million funding will map erosion along 800 miles of coastline and 5,000 miles of bays and tributaries using surveys, data gathering, and satellite imagery.
