Destin Incorporation Question Prompts Election Timetable
If Destin voters approve incorporation in the November general election a charter would trigger a 15 day candidate qualification period for mayor and council. A 45 day post certification special election would select four council terms of four years and three of two years. Mayor would be elected to a two year term. Officials take office after certification.
