Florida ducks two phase season opens November 23
Florida announces a two phase duck season starting November 23 with one additional steel shot area locally. The MK Ranch public waterfowl area in Gulf County now requires non toxic steel shot. Other steel shot zones include Lake Miccosukee in Leon and Jefferson Counties and parts of Leon County. Hunters 15 to 65 need a Florida hunting license and waterfowl stamp plus a federal duck stamp.
