Hudson Lemons Capture Sandestin Golf Title in Playoff
Hudson from Musgrove Country Club Jasper and Lemons from North River Yacht Club Tuscaloosa claimed the Sandestin tournament after a playoff against Harris Slocum. They tied at 135 after 72 holes, Lemons birdied the second playoff hole to win $1,000. Lyles Nichols finished third at 136, Oliver Fraser fourth at 137, Bergen Rachels fifth at 138, with four teams tied at 139.

American Legion Post 296 dart tournament on November 20 drew 10 players. Tim Broom, Walt Stojan, Dave Collins, Ron Powers, and Mary Howell posted notable scores. Powers won first place, Stojan second, Collins third. Playground Darting hosted home games on November 19 with Legionnaires beating Tanks 6 to 5. Phil Banning of 235 recorded the night’s only ton. Legionnaires II hosted Ole Key from Fort Walton, who forfeited.
