More Candidates Crowd Council Slate in Destin race
About 28 candidates qualified for seven council seats and one mayoral post in Destin. Elections officials say the list grew to 33 as more papers were turned in before the noon Crestview deadline. Names include mayoral contenders J R Abernathy Joy Dunlap Bob McIlroy and council hopefuls such as Evelyn Drowne John Himes Sr. Lloyd Taylor and others.
