Ann Garrett of Fort Walton Beach says she probably watches no more than two hours daily. She notes little on TV interests her and stays busy reading and doing other tasks even when television is on.
A personal note dated April 4, 1985, describes Tinkie as a grand, honest woman who spoke her mind and cared for others. She valued natural beauty, detested pity, and showed warmth to friends, grandchildren, and visitors during hospital stays and at shared family moments.
Arlene Webster pens a reminiscence about Tinkie, describing her generous nature and love of life, sharing memories from Log parties and office gatherings, and noting a difficult, washboard clay road to her wildwood home. The note signed Lots of Love from Mom Tamia adds a touching final signoff.
Lenah Elliott recalls Tinkie a Destin columnist and friend who inspired, advised, and connected readers across the country. She describes Tinkie’s warmth, sharp memory, pets, and frank battle with ovarian cancer and a colostomy. Elliott honors a life of kindness, courage, and lasting impact.
